
Introducing The Rebel Business School
On this episode of The Business Brunch, Richard Rosser, CEO of B4 is joined by guest Simon Paine CEO and Co-founder of Rebel Business School as they discuss how Rebel has helped over 11,500 people get into the world of business.
Rebel Business School’s mission is, “We are changing the way entrepreneurship is taught so that ANYONE can start a business debt-free – and we’re giving it all away for free.” They provide the stepping stones to help take your business to the next level, their free live business training events are full of inspiration, practical help and a growing community of support to help you. “We are changing business culture and making a business accessible for anyone. In this new world, ANYONE can start a business and make money doing what they love. What most people need is to be shown how to make the most of the opportunities available to them.”
Rebel Business School held 46 courses worldwide in 2020, helping thousands of people turn their business ideas into reality. Simon shared a few of the many success stories as a result of their courses, including Sushma Snacks which was a catering company for small events, but, due to COVID and events no longer happening Sushma (Founder of Sushma Snacks) was worried about what the future might hold. With the help of Rebel Business School, she managed to rebrand and now offers a range of new products, cookery classes and more.
Simon went on to talk about how confidence is key when it comes to business and it’s something a lot of people lack… having the confidence to take a risk and pursue your dream takes a lot of courage and confidence. Simon believes this is something that younger generations really struggle with as they come out of education feeling lost and don’t always know what path to follow.

Sustainability in business: from ambition to action
At October’s B4 Sustainability Ecosystem members were unanimous that attaining net zero carbon emissions by 2050 was an important target in our drive to reduce our carbon footprint, address climate change and implement a sustainable business approach. However, while the environmental and social aspirations to ‘be better’ and ‘do good’ were clear, many did not know what the carbon footprint of their business was or felt unsure what the steps should be to convert strategy into direct actions. As session lead Toby Newman from environment consultants, Enistic, explained: “If it can’t be measured, it can’t be improved.”
