Companies House Identity Checks Coming Into Force on 18 November 2025

Companies House has confirmed that mandatory identity verification (IDV) will be introduced from Tuesday 18 November 2025, marking one of the most significant changes to UK corporate regulation in recent years. The reforms are part of the Economic Crime and Corporate Transparency Act and are designed to improve the accuracy, transparency and integrity of information held on the Companies House register.
