BLAKE MORGAN WELCOMES NEW PARTNER TO ITS DISPUTE RESOLUTION PRACTICE
Leading law firm Blake Morgan has appointed Thomas Middlehurst as a new partner to head up the firm’s contentious trusts and estate team.
Thomas has a wealth of experience across all areas of private wealth and succession disputes. Since being called to the Bar and qualifying as a solicitor in 2008 he has held positions at firms including Moore Barlow, DAC Beachcroft, and DMH Stallard (formerly AWB Partnership). In his previous role he was at Moore Barlow – where he became the firm’s youngest partner in 2015.
His particular specialisms include Inheritance Act disputes, trust disputes, charity legacy disputes, mental capacity issues, and claims against executors and trustees, as well as Trust of Land and property ownership disputes. Previous cases have involved complex fraud claims dating back 20 years, multiple-property disputes, and estates worth tens of millions.
In the highly-regarded Legal 500 guide, he has previously been described by former clients as “very astute”, “very responsive and trustworthy”, and “proactive, enthusiastic and focused”.
Chris Potts, partner and head of the commercial litigation practice (London and Thames Valley) at Blake Morgan, said: “Thomas’s arrival at Blake Morgan brings additional knowledge and expertise to our contentious trusts and estates practice at a time when it is going from strength to strength.
“The team is primed for continued growth under his experienced leadership, as he brings learnings across from the many complex cases he has acted on, and the excellent service he has always provided to his clients.”
