In this episode of the B4 Podcast, Nancy Buckley tells us more about her role as Group Director, Business Development at Activate Learning and why it’s important for colleges to engage with local businesses.
More than two years since the pandemic began to rule our lives, the damage which has been done in so many aspects of our lives has been devastating. The overriding impact has been thousands of lives lost and the health and wellbeing of many irreparably damaged. But for our future generations, the long term impact could have far-reaching effects. In B4’s interaction with local businesses, skills shortages have been mentioned as threats to the future of businesses, either staying in business or growing, more than anything. Concerns grow for the social and wellbeing impact on students who have lost vital aspects and experiences which older generations took for granted.
It’s vital, therefore, that businesses recognise the huge role that our colleges can play in helping students to integrate into the local business community to start developing their skills and experiences as soon as possible.
In this episode of the B4 Podcast, Nancy Buckley tells us more about her role as Group Director, Business Development at Activate Learning and why it’s important for colleges to engage with local businesses. Nancy also explains more about the advantages and other benefits that colleges can provide to local businesses and what new developments we can expect to see from Activate Learning over the coming years
