Yellow Submarine Confirmed as Blenheim’s Charity of the Year
Blenheim has announced it will be supporting Yellow Submarine as its charity of the year for 2023.
Yellow Submarine is an award-winning Oxfordshire charity that believes people with learning disabilities and autism deserve to live life to the full.

They offer a variety of services to those with mild to moderate needs including social clubs, activity days, residential holidays and a traineeship. These projects increase confidence and independence in our members as well as provide respite for families and carers.
The charity also operates two social enterprise cafes in Oxford and Witney which are co-staffed by trainees with learning disabilities and annually welcome around 70,000 customers.
“We’re excited to be working with Yellow Submarine as our official charity for 2023,” said Blenheim’s People Director, Megan Carter.
“At the end of each year we ask our staff to nominate a charity which we will support over the coming 12 months. This was a very popular choice and we are looking forward to sharing fundraising ideas and opportunities with their amazing team,” she added.
As part of its support, Blenheim will be undertaking a series of fundraising and awareness building activities and events throughout the year as well as forging closer links to the charity.
Co-Director of Yellow Submarine, Kate Sankey, said: “We are thrilled to have been chosen by Blenheim as their charity of the year – it’s wonderful to have such support from our community, and helps to shine a light on the work we’re doing to support young people and adults with learning disabilities and autism.”
“We’re looking forward to working with the team at Blenheim over the coming year, with opportunities to support Yellow Submarine’s work with fundraising, awareness raising and more!” Kate added.
Blenheim’s Charity of the Year scheme is part of its ongoing commitment to more than double its charitable contributions to the community within 10 years. Last year Blenheim supported Restore, the Oxfordshire-based mental health charity.
A study by Oxford Brookes Business School showed Blenheim donated and raised money to a total of £1.69m for local projects and charities in 2021-22.
