An award-winning social enterprise and charity, Oxford Wood Recycling (OWR) combines environmental responsibility with social impact. Operating across Oxfordshire, OWR provides commercial and domestic wood-waste collections, maximising recycling and reclaiming wood for reuse. The organisation also empowers the local community through its Wood Shop in Abingdon, where reclaimed and locally sourced timber is transformed into DIY materials and beautifully made products. At its heart, OWR is about transforming lives β supporting people excluded from work to move towards, and into, meaningful employment. You can see the impact of this work in their latest Impact Report.
Meet the CEO: Adrian Sell
Adrian Sell became CEO of Oxford Wood Recycling last year, bringing with him extensive experience from the voluntary sector locally, nationally and internationally. His career includes senior roles at the Refugee Council, Oxfordshire Community Foundation, Oxpip and Age UK. Adrian is passionate about OWR because it brings together social and environmental impact with the rigour of running a genuine social enterprise.
βWeβre looking to strengthen our Board with people who have a strong understanding of financial management and business strategy, as well as those focused on marketing and impact. Weβd also love to connect with anyone working in the management and disposal of wood. We joined B4 as it is the premier networking group in Oxfordshire, and we firmly believe we can achieve more impact and more growth through collaborating with others.β
