Moorcrofts named finalist in The Lawyer Awards 2021
Leading Corporate and Technology Law firm, Moorcrofts LLP is delighted to announce that it has been named a finalist in The Lawyer Awards 2021, in the Boutique Firm of the Year category.
The Lawyer Awards is the leading awards initiative within the legal calendar and are one of the largest celebrations of legal excellence in Europe. Bringing together over 1,200 private practice lawyers and senior corporate counsel, the awards recognise best practice and celebrate excellence across the whole industry.
The awards are judged by an independent panel featuring over 100 strong, industry experts from The Bar, Private Practice and in-house sectors from a breadth of expertise across the legal industry to ensure that objective views are adopted. The panel includes senior legal management from organisations like HM Treasury, Siemens, Sky and Shell International.
Teri Hunter, Moorcrofts Joint Managing Partner and Head of Corporate said:
“We are thrilled Moorcrofts has been recognised for this prestigious award. We take great pride in being an intensely targeted boutique firm, providing real expertise and in-depth experience and an exceptional service to our clients. The last 18 months have been unprecedented for all. Fortunately, with an advanced IT infrastructure and a very high calibre team, Moorcrofts has been able to offer a seamless service and respond strongly to the challenging and fluctuating landscape. This has resulted in Moorcrofts retaining its position as the UK’s leading practice for Open Source licence compliance and one of the top five practices in the world for Open Hardware licence advice and compliance as well as housing one of the largest corporate and technology legal teams in the Thames Valley region, advising on a number of flagship deals to spear-heading innovative projects, partnerships and panel appointments.”
Moorcrofts is up against tough competition for the award with Avonhurst, Chronos Law, iLaw, Law 365, Lee & Thompson, Onside Law and The Burnside Partnership also being shortlisted in the Boutique Firm of the Year category.
The winners will be announced in a virtual award ceremony, taking place on Tuesday 2 November 2021.
