M&M Group expands workforce to showcase environmental commitment
A county-based environmental and waste services group which recycles enough materials each year to match the weight of 430 Boeing 747s has expanded its workforce.
A county-based environmental and waste services group which recycles enough materials each year to match the weight of 430 Boeing 747s has expanded its workforce.
The M&M Group has appointed Emily Miller as its new Group Marketing Coordinator to strengthen the brand presence of its skip hire, demolition, asbestos removal and land remediation services.
Based in Witney and operating across Oxfordshire and its surrounds, the Group encompasses M&M Waste Solutions, M&M Zero and Maylarch Environmental Ltd.
Together, they employ more than 190 staff with a commercial fleet size in excess of 60 vehicles which transport waste destined for landfill from building sites, businesses and family homes to two recycling centres.
Emily joined The M&M Group in November 2023 as a personal assistant, but quickly grasped its social media channels where she showcased the team’s wider work to online audiences.
Now, her enthusiasm for marketing has been converted into a full-time role where she will be responsible for digital campaigns, content creation and liaising with key stakeholders.
“I’m so grateful to The M&M Group for this opportunity,” said Emily.
“Marketing is a huge passion of mine, and I’m looking forward to the challenge of applying my creative skills to showcase our present operation which has sustainability and the environment at heart.
“The demolition and waste management sectors are highly misunderstood.
“From our Cassington headquarters alone, our team recycled more than 142,000 tonnes of waste collected from building sites and homes which was destined for landfill in 2024.
“This is one example of the many stories we want to connect our audiences with, so they are mindful of where their waste goes and how we contribute to fulfilling a circular driven economy.”
Matt Wright, Commercial Director of The M&M Group, added: “Emily has proven herself as a self-motivated marketing enthusiast since joining our team and we’re delighted she has accepted this new role.
“We recognise there is an education piece to fulfil with our customers, and the wider general public, about what happens to the waste they will no doubt be accustom to seeing in transit on Oxfordshire’s roads.
“Creative thinking has been critical to establishing modern practices which benefit the environment in the waste sector. So to apply it to our own channels with Emily’s guidance is very pleasing.”
