Hussain Manawer: ‘Life is Sad and Beautiful’ at Blenheim Palace
We are excited to announce that acclaimed poet and mental health campaigner Hussain Manawer will be performing live extracts from his debut poetry collection ‘Life is Sad and Beautiful’ at Blenheim Palace on Wednesday, 11th May.
The Poetry Breakfast, which coincides with Mental Health Awareness Week, will be in front of an invited audience in the Palace’s Orangery from 9.30am-11am and includes a discussion of its themes with actor Larry Lamb. An exhibition of Hussain’s work will also take place in the Orangery.
From the 9th-31st of May you can also see Hussain’s art exhibition. The works displayed are taken from his debut poetry collection ‘Life is Sad and Beautiful’. Hussain’s poetry collection invites the reader on his journey through depression and grief and out the other side to a better place. Hussain is a poet and mental health campaigner who has channelled his grief at the loss of his mother into this heartbreaking and lyrical volume that consoles as much as it challenges.
