Five gatherings, one shared ambition: B4 is building a stronger, more connected Oxfordshire
Across a series of gatherings, a consistent theme has continued to emerge — the power of purposeful collaboration. From strategic discussions on the future of Oxfordshire to shared experiences across our network, each event reinforced the importance of bringing people together to learn, challenge and support one another.
Moonshot thinking at Rhodes House
We returned to Rhodes House for another engaging Moonshot Factory session, where members explored their individual and collective ambitions. Expertly guided by Mark Zwinderman, the session encouraged open reflection on goals, challenges and the journey ahead.
These sessions continue to provide a unique environment where business leaders can think differently, share openly and support each other in navigating complex challenges.
Exploring Oxfordshire’s future at Blake Morgan
Our latest OBS2026 Impact Session focused on devolution and local government reform — a critical topic for Oxfordshire’s future.
Hosted by Blake Morgan, the session brought together business leaders, council representatives and policymakers to explore how changing governance structures could influence growth, infrastructure and long-term planning.
The discussion highlighted the importance of clarity, strong leadership and early engagement from the business community as proposals continue to evolve. We’ll be releasing more on the findings of this session soon.
Supporting brighter futures with The Sun Fund
We were delighted to attend the launch of The Sun Fund hosted by Sam Greaves of Cleenol thanks to our good friends at Oxfordshire Youth.
Set in the remarkable surroundings of Broughton Castle, the event brought together local leaders, businesses and community voices around a shared ambition — creating brighter futures for young people in Banbury.
With inspiring contributions from a range of speakers and the official launch led by the Lord-Lieutenant of Oxfordshire, the event marked an exciting beginning for an initiative focused on long-term impact and opportunity. If you would like to get involved please contact sam@cleenol.co.uk.
Leadership, AI and the pace of change
At our latest Rhodes House Platinum Dinner, we welcomed Helen Laville, Vice Chancellor of Oxford Brookes University, as our guest speaker.
Helen shared valuable insights on how AI is reshaping the workplace, highlighting the need for organisations to invest in technology, leadership alignment and data capabilities. Crucially, she emphasised that as the pace of change accelerates, skills will need to be refreshed more frequently.
At the same time, she reinforced the importance of human connection — a timely reminder of the value of in-person engagement and shared learning.
Conversations that matter at Brasserie Blanc
We closed the week with another lively lunch at Brasserie Blanc, where members came together to share challenges, explore ideas and support one another.
These sessions continue to demonstrate the strength of the B4 community — honest conversations, diverse perspectives and a shared willingness to help each other succeed.
One consistent theme
Across every gathering, from strategic policy discussions to informal conversations, one message remains clear: collaboration is the foundation of progress.
By continuing to connect businesses, leaders and communities, we can help shape a stronger, more resilient and more ambitious Oxfordshire.
If you would like to be a part of these conversations happening at over 60 events every year with B4, please contact richard@b4-business.com to find out more or join us at one of our future events.
