Extra buses for Oxford Round Table’s Charity Fireworks Display
The Oxford Bus Company has teamed up with The Oxford Round Table to provide vital transport links for the return of its popular charity fireworks display.
Extra buses will operate on the Park&Ride 400 service on Saturday to help transport crowds attending the Oxford Round Table’s 53rd Annual Charity Fireworks Display. Fireworks Shuttle services will run every 10 minutes between Thornhill Park & Ride and Warneford Hospital, near the venue in South Park, Headington Hill.
The Oxford Bus Company has also joined forces with the Oxford Round Table to provide discounted Combo Tickets for the display which combines travel and entry. An adult Combo Ticket is £11 and covers the cost of return travel from Thornhill and entry to the fireworks. While a £29 Family Combo Ticket allows for two adults and up to two children to travel and see the fireworks.
All profits from the firework display are donated local charities and good causes. Since 1967 the Oxford Roundtable has raised more than £1M to support worthy causes.
Phil Southall, Managing Director of the Oxford Bus Company, said: “It is fantastic to see this popular community event returning this year. So many people enjoy the display and it raises a lot of money for many good causes. We’re proud to play a vital part in it again and look forward providing another successful service for passengers travelling to the event.”
Tickets are available in advance via the Oxford Round Table website, or from drivers on the Park & Ride 400 service on Saturday.
