Bicester Motion promotes Jonty Ashworth to development director
Bicester Motion, the 444-acre future mobility estate in Oxfordshire, has promoted Jonty Ashworth to development director.
Jonty has 19 years’ experience and joined Bicester Motion in 2018 originally as property project manager where he was responsible for closing out the final phases of its heritage quarter restoration projects.
He has since progressed to be responsible for Bicester Motion’s masterplan strategic plan delivery which has planning consent for one million sq ft of new HQ workspace for innovative automotive and aviation brands along with hotel and the award-winning Command Works.
Most recently, he has secured the pre-let of YASA’s new 90,000 sq ft GIA (8,361 sq m) HQ at The Ranges, Skyport Infrastructure’s UK’s first vertiport to test the next generation of electric, low noise aviation, and TeamSports’ new electric indoor karting track experience to invest in young talent, all of which are under construction.
Jonty’s career started at Lend Lease on its graduate scheme and progressed to consultant to advise BMW to deliver its first electric vehicle showroom on Park Lane and its UK HQ in Farnborough. He also worked at Ridge and provided masterplan support to Jaguar Land Rover on its Slovakia expansion and the regeneration of RAF Museum in London. In 2020, he was awarded OxPropFest’s Young Property Person of the Year.
