B4 Welcomes Thinking in Fields
Thinking in Fields is a strategic advisory practice founded by David Finch, who brings over 30 years of experience helping businesses think clearly, act decisively, and grow with purpose.
David’s background spans consultancy, marketing and leadership, most recently through a business he founded and led to a successful exit. Thinking in Fields was created from the belief that many businesses don’t need someone to do it for them, they need a trusted partner to help them think, frame, and own their strategy.
From aligning internal culture with customer expectations to uncovering what truly makes a business valuable and valued, Thinking in Fields is about co-creation, clarity and sustainable momentum. A growing part of this work involves helping clients understand where and how AI can support smarter decision-making, improve customer experience, and remove friction from the way they work without overwhelming teams or losing sight of what really matters.
Thinking in Fields is particularly suited to SME leaders, owner-managers, and marketing teams looking to build strategic clarity and embed that thinking across their teams.
David commented: “B4 strikes a great balance between professionalism and community. I’ve already had brilliant conversations when I was a member in my last role and I’m looking forward to contributing more and connecting further with fellow members.”
B4’s CEO, Richard Rosser, added. “David brings a vast amount of experience to the B4 community which we once again tap into as we shape OBS2026, our second annual business summit taking place at Blenheim next May. We’re delighted to have David on board and look forward to working closely together over the next year.”

Fostering a Workplace Culture with Claire Croft
B4 Members gathered at B4 HQ for a thought-provoking session with culture specialist and B4 Platinum Member, Claire Croft, exploring what it really takes to build a workplace where people and business deliver meaningful impact. From the outset, Claire reframed “culture” away from perks and gimmicks—“bean bags and beer fridges” don’t make a culture—and toward the everyday decisions, behaviours, and systems that shape how work gets done.

What prospects are thinking but often fail to ask
I was at a B4 Ecosystem Event recently run by Caroline O’Connor of Fourth Born and she posed a brilliant question to the room.
