The luxury airline coach service will increase its journeys to Gatwick Airport from Sunday July 17th, due to increased passenger demand as more people return to international and domestic travel.
It had previously increased its services to Heathrow Airport to every 30 minutes following the lifting of all UK travel restrictions. However, at that stage its service to Gatwick Airport had remained at every two hours. But with patronage continuing to increase services will now return to pre-pandemic frequencies.
The luxury airline coach service provides connectivity between Heathrow and Gatwick Airports and Oxford and High Wycombe. It also offers passengers the option to book tickets 11 months in advance and tickets are flexible, in case plans change.
Luke Marion, Oxford Bus Company Interim Managing Director, said: “After more than two years of reduced timetables and working hard to re-build patronage we are pleased to be returning our Airline services back to normal service levels.
“Demand for our Airline service has been steadily increasing, and with the summer holidays beginning we expect this trend to continue. It’s great to see people returning to travelling and we look forward to welcoming more passengers back to the Airline. Based on customer feedback we have invested in digital booking technology and a function that enables people to book tickets 11 months in advance to help passengers plan their journeys, with flexible ticket options in case plans change. Currently passengers are experiencing changes to air travel timetables and so this function is proving to be very helpful to our passengers.” If Airline passengers’ flights or airports change, Oxford Bus Company offers customers the option to upgrade their tickets accordingly on board the coach. The Airline coaches include at seat trays to accommodate laptops and tablets, plus USB charging points. There are also monitors on-board, with sat-nav displays to enable passengers to check progress on their journey, just as they would when on an aeroplane. The coaches also boast free Wi-Fi, wheel-chair access and much improved luggage capacity for passengers’ suitcases and bags.
