Raymond Blanc gives his support for Raise’24
We are delighted to share a personal video from the wonderful Raymond Blanc of Belmond Le Manoir in which he gives his full support for what he describes as “an incredible, beautiful idea.”
Raymond is no stranger to supporting charities and urges Oxfordshire’s business leaders to get behind this wonderful initiative which will see 75 teams of four raising £2,000 each for eleven fantastic charities. As Raymond says in the video. “If you’re a business leader looking for a different sort of Christmas Party this year, get involved!”
Raise’24 is a brand new annual event, inspiring Oxfordshire businesses to take bolder action to help build a fairer, safer and happier Oxfordshire for all.On 13th December 2024, 300 people from the local business community will join each other at Keble College for a fun-packed festive fundraising extravaganza, competing to raise the most donations on the day for Raise’24. They will hit the phones, social media and emails to bring in at least £500 per person, or a massive total of £150k!
B4’s CEO, Richard Rosser, added: “We’re chuffed to bits to get Raymond’s support for Raise’24. Thank you to Kate, Leanda and Julia for arranging the video and of course to Raymond for taking the time to get behind Raise’24 so passionately. As one of Oxfordshire’s most charismatic and recognised business leaders, he sets a wonderful example and we hope Oxfordshire’s leaders follow him by getting behind this incredible fundraising initiative.”
If you would like to join Raymond by either donating, sponsoring or entering a team, please find out more HERE.
About Raymond Blanc OBE and Belmond Le Manoir aux Quat’Saisons
Raymond Blanc is acknowledged as one of the finest chefs in the world. Completely self-taught, his influence on gastronomy has been so great that he is the only chef to have been honoured with both an OBE from Britain and the equivalent of a knighthood from France.
He is inextricably linked with Belmond Le Manoir aux Quat’Saisons which he launched in the 1980’s and which continues to go from strength to strength.
To this day, it is still the only country house hotel in Britain to have retained two Michelin stars for over 30 years and its eleven stunning gardens, including the vast organic kitchen gardens, are the envy of gardeners and chefs worldwide. It is the inspiration from which his gastronomy is born and goes from strength to strength thanks to an extraordinary gardening team led for 35 years by Anne-Marie Owens.
