Blake Morgan Voted One of the UK’s Top Employers for Graduates and Apprentices
Leading law firm Blake Morgan has been named as one of the UK’s top employers for graduates and apprentices by The JobCrowd.
The firm appears in both the graduate and apprentice lists – which are based on feedback collected directly from employees by The JobCrowd.
Blake Morgan was ranked as the 45th best employer for apprentices, and the 87th best graduate employer. The firm was one of eleven legal firms favoured by graduates, while only six additional legal firms made the list for apprentices. The listing today compliments Blake Morgan’s continued success as a top employer in both the Guardian300 and the Chambers Student Guide.
Blake Morgan runs a series of initiatives to develop the best talent, including a tailored two-year graduate programme designed to give new starters opportunities to succeed in a supportive training environment. The firm also offers Level 2 and Level 3 Business Administration and Customer Service apprenticeships across both legal and support functions with a view to placing apprentices into permanent positions at the end of their apprenticeship wherever possible. The firm also uses apprenticeships to develop existing staff, including offering higher level apprenticeships in Leadership and Management.
The firm works closely with local schools and colleges to encourage people to think about a career in the legal profession, and the opportunities it can unlock for them in the future.
Liz Bryne, Head of HR and Learning & Development at Blake Morgan, said: “An organisation’s greatest asset is always going to be its people, and in a very competitive legal services marketplace it is crucial that firms find a way to attract, develop and retain the best people, . We’ve invested in our apprenticeship and graduate programmes and have worked hard to create a culture that supports and encourages on the job training.
“We recognise our graduates and apprentices play a vital role in the business, so we are delighted to see their positive feedback reflected in these listings. We are committed to ensuring that we continue to offer a first-class opportunity to build a successful career with the firm in the future.”
