Moorcrofts has advised Enable Business Solutions Limited, the leading provider of software solutions to the professional services sector, on the sale of the company to global legal technology consultancy, Pinnacle.
Enable was founded by Liam Flanagan in 2013, and its products include PitchPerfect and RevenueManager. As a result of the acquisition, Enable will accelerate planned investment in PitchPerfect’s product support and development capabilities. It has key clients in North America, the UK, Europe and Australia, and is now better placed to expand in each of these markets working alongside the Pinnacle international sales and technical teams.
Pinnacle is a global consultancy focused on the legal sector with over 100 people based in the UK, Continental Europe and North America. Pinnacle has strong partnerships with Thomson Reuters, Intapp and Peppermint. Pinnacle’s stated strategy is to improve process and efficiency in the finance, risk and BD departments of law firms through the delivery of software solutions, consulting and managed services.
Moorcrofts’ Teri Hunter (corporate partner) and Peter Woolley (corporate partner) led the transaction, with support from Adam Forder (corporate solicitor), Kierendeep Sahota (corporate solicitor), Tim Astley (commercial / IT partner), Julia Ferguson (commercial property partner) and Lindsey Abbott (employment solicitor).
Liam Flanagan, the Enable founder, said:
“I am delighted that we are able to join with and be part of such a forward-looking and compatible organisation as Pinnacle. I have known Mike Bailey and the other directors of Pinnacle for many years and know that they will continue to support and develop our industry leading solutions to meet our clients ever evolving and complex requirements.
A big thank you to the wonderful Moorcrofts team led by formidable Teri Hunter. I have been fortunate to work with Moorcrofts for 8 years now. A great experience culminating in the sale of the business at the asking price to a business full of friends.”
Teri Hunter, commented:
“Moorcrofts was delighted to act for the Enable shareholders on the sale of the company. This was an interesting and challenging transaction, and I’m sure that Enable will continue to grow and develop its products and business, under Pinnacle’s ownership and support. We wish both Enable and Pinnacle all the best for the future.”
