HAWKWELL HOUSE RAISES A GLASS TO 50 YEARS OF MERCURE HOTELS WITH THE OXFORD ARTISAN DISTILLERY COLLABORATION

Mercure Oxford Hawkwell House Hotel is one of a select number of hotels chosen to take part in the 50th anniversary celebrations.

Mercure Oxford Hawkwell House is collaborating with The Oxford Artisan Distillery to hold a unique celebration on Thursday 20th July to celebrate the landmark occasion.

The celebration will begin with an exclusive private tour and tasting sessions at the Headington-based The Oxford Artisan Distillery, which produces a variety of spirits from sustainable, heritage-farmed grains.

Following the tour, guests will return to Mercure Oxford Hawkwell House Hotel in Iffley for an exquisite tasting menu dinner at the hotel. The menu specially crafted for the occasion consists of dishes infused and paired with the distillery’s local rye whiskey and gin.

Mercure specialises in traditional, locally managed hotels run by committed hoteliers and operates 899 locations in 61 countries.

Nick Jefford, Hawkwell House General Manager said: “Mercure Oxford Hawkwell House is proud to be part of The Mercure brand and we look forward to hosting this exciting event marking the group’s 50thanniversary.

“Under Mercure, Hawkwell House has re-established itself as a luxurious boutique hotel and home away from home retreat nestled in idyllic Iffley village.

“The Oxford Artisan Distillery is a great company and visitor attraction and we are happy to be showcasing their excellent products alongside quality local ingredients prepared by our Head Chef.

“I hope this celebration will encourage locals and visitors alike to choose Mercure Oxford Hawkwell House as their go-to destination for staycations, important celebrations and meals out.”
