CELEBRATE MOTHER’S DAY AT HAWKWELL HOUSE

Mercure Oxford Hawkwell House Hotel has launched a special Sunday lunch menu to help families celebrate Mother’s Day in style.

Iffley based Hawkwell House has designed an exclusive Sunday roast menu for its signature restaurant Frank’s, to mark the occasion. The hotel is now encouraging families to book for Sunday as spaces fill up fast.

The Mother’s Day set lunch includes three delicious courses, a glass of fizz and a special gift for all mothers. The sophisticated menu features a range of starters including smoked salmon with horseradish cream and pressed ham hock. Diners can then select from one of four main courses including traditional roast rump of beef with all the trimmings.

To top off the perfect lunch, Hawkwell House has included a range of classic sweet treats such as indulgent sticky toffee pudding and decadent chocolate mousse.

Anuj Sagar, General Manager of Hawkwell House Hotel said: “We have designed an exclusive Mother’s Day menu to help locals and families celebrate this special day in style.

“Mother’s Day would not be complete without Sunday lunch, so we have chosen to relaunch our popular Sunday roast menu to help make the day truly special.

“Our exciting set menu has been designed with the whole family in mind to offer all those celebrating an exclusive dining experience in a home from home setting.”

The hotel is also offering its quintessentially British afternoon teas for those looking for a unique way to celebrate Mother’s Day. Afternoon tea at Hawkwell House includes a selection of finger sandwiches, cakes and scones served with tea or coffee. It can be enjoyed in the spacious lounge bar overlooking the tranquil gardens or al fresco on the elegant, heated terrace.

Anuj added: “We are encouraging all Oxfordshire residents to make our hotel a go-to destination to celebrate occasions of all kinds – including Mother’s Day.

“We hope the special offer will encourage families to join us next Sunday to treat the special women in their lives.”

The three-course set menu with a glass of Prosecco on arrival costs £39.95 per person for adults and £22.95 for children. The menu has a range of gluten free and vegetarian options to cater to all guests’ dietary requirements. Afternoon tea includes cakes, finger sandwiches, scones and a selection of hot drinks and starts at £25pp.

The 77-bed hotel recently underwent a stunning £3.5 million refurbishment to transform it into a stylish, boutique venue complete with a restaurant, lounge bar, all weather terrace and three versatile meeting rooms.

Hawkwell House is located just a short walk from Iffley Lock on the River Thames and St Mary The Virgin Church Hawkwell House. It is just three miles from Oxford rail station and is close to Oxford’s southern bypass road.
