Grant Thornton appoints Thames Valley Corporate Finance Director
Grant Thornton has announced the appointment of Gareth Davies as Director in the Corporate Finance team in the Thames Valley.
The new role will see Gareth focus primarily on transactions across the Thames Valley mid-market technology, media and telecommunications (TMT) sector. He brings with him a wealth of advisory experience with a particular focus on TMT, having worked with a diverse range of private, large corporate and private equity clients.
Gareth has previously headed up TMT mergers and acquisitions (M&A) nationally at BDO, as well as holding M&A focussed roles at PwC and Morgan Stanley. With more than 18 years of experience and having successfully completed over 50 transactions, Gareth has worked closely with many mid-market businesses to enhance value and has an in-depth understanding of the technical issues that clients could face while embarking upon an exit event.
On the appointment, Wendy Hart, Corporate Finance Partner at Grant Thornton Thames Valley, said: “We’re proud to work with some of the region’s most dynamic businesses and the investment in our Corporate Finance team is testament to the value that we deliver to our clients.
“Gareth brings with him a huge amount of experience that I’m confident will provide the organisations that we advise with the very best service to help them grow and add value to their businesses.”
Gareth commented: “The Thames Valley has a thriving technology sector and there’s a huge amount of opportunity to support these organisations on their journeys.
“The team at Grant Thornton are incredibly ambitious and passionate and I’m delighted to be working with them to continue to grow the business in the region.”
