Blenheim: Bringing you the best from the Estate this May

The Park is now adorned with new arrivals. Watching our lambs bounding across the Estate makes us feel grounded with nature as it continues no matter what’s going on in the world. The Gardens are brimming with blossom trees as we watch the seasons move on, albeit leaving the weather in April showers. We’re hitting the ground running as life rights itself with momentous new partnerships and projects.

The Palace, Park & Gardens

We’ve been waiting for this day for months… the Palace, Park and Gardens are fully open from Monday 17th May and there’s new exhibitions plus a jam-packed event and entertainment schedule. The new Stables Exhibition will showcase the the importance of horses at Blenheim through the centuries. The original tack room has been restored and the stable office recreated as part of the exhibition, as well as creating an area for live horse displays. There will be a life size model of Churchill’s childhood pony Rob Roy in one of the stables and the chance for you to dress up and attempt to ride side saddle and the chance to meet the ponies and try Pony Rides on Stable Bank for the opening weekends. Visit the Blenheim Palace website for all the details on planning your next visit, including guidance on staying COVID-safe.

Life on the Estate

We are piloting a new ‘social prescription’ programme aiming to share the health and wellbeing benefits of our land with local communities. Overall the project aims to increase the participants wellbeing by engaging them in social activities connected to nature and the great outdoors.

Our Social Prescription Programme

In partnership with Morgan Sindall Group plc we are creating nine new woodlands, planting more than a quarter of a million trees to transform the land as part of an ambitious series of sustainability initiatives. The project will regenerate woodland in the Dorn and Glyme Valleys area of the Estate and improve the biodiversity of the area significantly, improving the quality of the soil, air and water.
