MicrosensDx receive a sleek lab and office fit out from COEL
MicrosensDx, a dynamic diagnostic specialist, commissioned COEL to fit out their new purpose built laboratory and new office on the Cambridge Science Park, having expanded into the area from London. The new office consisted of space across the ground and first floors, in a multi-tenant building, which was occupied throughout the duration of the project.
The design brief required a complete overhaul of the space to include a purpose built ISO 7 clean room, quality control lab, cleaning room, office space, comms room and storage space. New flooring and decoration provided a fresh clean appearance to the updated layout. All pre-existing laboratory areas were decommissioned and stripped out to meet MicrosensDx’s specific requirements, with provisions of new storage facilities methodically applied throughout the design. Office areas received a complete overhaul with complimentary new furniture including desks, task chairs and lockers.

Solar tints and blinds were added to the windows to control the light levels within the rooms.
The mandate included mechanical, electrical and plumbing works which were all project managed by COEL’s subsidiary company CPMS Cambridge Ltd.
The team installed a new air handling unit with a HEPA filtration system, in order to meet the clean room specification for the laboratory.
TESTIMONIAL
“The finished working space including the laboratories and the office area, is a huge success. The COEL team, and their plumbing and mechanical division CPMS were both very thorough, efficient and reactive in their understanding of our mandate and in their delivery. The end result is a brand new working environment which helps support our employees in their vital development, manufacturing and logistics activities.”
