The second Oxfordshire Apprenticeship Awards will recognise the best talent in the county with a special presentation evening on Thursday 1st March 2018 at Blenheim Palace, in the run up to National Apprenticeship Week. The purpose of the Awards is to celebrate the achievements of the county’s Apprentices and recognise the huge contribution they make to our local economy across a wide number of organisations and sectors.
There are four ‘Apprentice of the Year’ categories – Intermediate, Advanced, Higher and Special Recognition, for an Apprentice who has overcome significant challenges or barriers to learning or work, with an overall Oxfordshire Apprentice of the Year to be chosen from the winners. Please encourage any star Apprentices you know to enter, or nominate them – we know they can be a little shy about coming forward!
In addition to focusing on Apprentices themselves, the Awards also recognise schools, who play a crucial role in inspiring people to consider and start an Apprenticeship, as well as training providers, who support and guide them through the programme.
Two new employer categories have also been introduced for 2018 (Small and Large Employer) to celebrate and champion local employers who offer exceptional Apprenticeship schemes. Don’t miss this opportunity to celebrate your successes as an Apprenticeship employer and shout about what you do! Give yourself a pat on the back and set a great example of good practice to others.
The closing date for entries is midnight on Friday 1st December 2017, but don’t wait till then – get your entry in asap! It’s really easy to do, just download a form from www.oxfordshireapprenticeships.co.uk/awards. You’ll find all the details about the categories, sponsors and the previous Oxfordshire Apprenticeship Awards here too.
