Moorcrofts Corporate Law is delighted to announce that it is a finalist in two categories in the prestigious Women in Business Awards 2018:
- Board Level & Senior Executive of the Year – Teri Hunter, Moorcrofts CFO and Head of Corporate
- Enlightened Employer – Supporting Women in the Workplace – Moorcrofts LLP
The Women in Business Awards celebrates, encourages and inspires successful and aspiring business women in the South. The awards are judged on a comprehensive set of criteria, in place and executed to discover individuals and businesses in Thames Valley through to the South Coast that have shown exceptional commitment to gender equality in the workplace.
Moorcrofts supportive leadership training, excellent communication and team work is coupled with a flexible and an entrepreneurial working environment to cultivate an atmosphere that is extremely productive and rewarding for its’ staff. Women have continuously flourished in the organisation with the support given to achieve their aspirations and flexible working environment allowing them to ensure a good work life balance.
Teri Hunter, Moorcrofts CFO and Head of Corporate said: “I am absolutely honoured and delighted for Moorcrofts and myself to be named finalist in these prestigious awards. In the legal industry, gender diversity is still prevalent with 69% of student intake being female and only 18% of females making it to equity partner level. To make sure this issue is not reflected at Moorcrofts, we actively work towards creating a positive and inclusive workplace culture which enables women to excel.”
Moorcrofts is up against tough competition for both awards with Dr Sarah Cooper, Clean and Jaki Mitchell, Crowe also being shortlisted in Board Level & Senior Executive of the Year category and Get Ahead VA, KPMG, Shoosmiths and Sky in the Enlightened Employer – Supporting Women in the Workplace category.
The winners will be announced at a gala, black-tie dinner to be held at Oakley Hall Hotel in Hampshire on Thursday 4 October 2018. For more information about the awards and to book your tickets, please visit the Women in Business website.
