Bupa’s Stratum Dermatology Clinic to open at Wootton Science Park
Stratum Dermatology Clinic, the medical dermatology and aesthetics clinic owned by Bupa, has taken a suite in Origin, the new two-storey, purpose built CL2 laboratory building at Hartwell Plc’s Wootton Science Park to the south-west of Oxford.
Stratum has taken suite three on the first floor which totals 2,336 sq ft (217 sq m) and will relocate its consultant dermatologists and staff from Cantay House in Oxford, OX1.
A full fit out of the clinic will be delivered by Total Projects and is due to open to the public in July 2025.
Mark Norfolk, managing director, Stratum Dermatology Clinic said: “We have been looking for a new home for our Oxford clinic that is well connected and accessible. We needed a location where we can welcome our clients to a state-of-the-art new clinic and continue to support people with their needs. The vision for Wootton Science Park, the outdoor space and future amenities is exciting for both our staff and clients.”
Stratum will join DeepTech Recycling which recently moved to Origin.
Joanne Churchill, development manager, Hartwell Plc said: “We warmly welcome Stratum Dermatology Clinic and their team to Wootton Science Park. We have delivered much-needed CL2 lab space to meet the high demand from pioneering SMEs needing to be close to Oxford with the advantage of being in open parkland. Stratum will be joining DeepTech and our other companies as we continue to build this community.”
Wootton Science Park is accessed by the A420 or A34 and is well located for Oxford, the county’s many science and business parks.
Hartwell Plc recently unveiled its £35 million Scott Brownrigg-designed masterplan vision for Wootton Science Park’s next phase of development.
Their vision is to deliver five new carbon efficient lab and workspace buildings which will total 106,233 sq ft (9,869 sq m) along with connected amenities which include landscaping, a bistro, gym, and secure bike storage, for SMEs science and technology companies and the surrounding community.
A planning application has been submitted to Vale of White Horse District Council.
Origin totals 9,268 sq ft (861 sq m). The suites can be provided as lab-enabled which are available for immediate occupation or as fitted lab space with a three month lead time to suit a company’s needs.
CBRE and Savills are the commercial leasing agents.
