Award-winning specialist family law practice acquires further new talent during the last Lockdown
South Oxfordshire based Boardman Hawkins & Osborne LLP has acquired four additional members of the team the last three months to expand their growing specialist team.
In less than three years, the firm has increased in size from a team of ten to a team of seventeen, with an increase from its original six lawyers to a team of nine lawyers and three paralegals.
The renowned legal guide, The Legal 500 notes the firm for being “exceptional practitioners” with ”great reputations” and a “passionate interest in justice”.
During the last 3 months, BH&O have been joined by experienced childcare lawyer Janet Quartly, office manager Jayne Parker and paralegals Emily Parke and Beth Hancock.
Janet Quartly, who qualified as a solicitor in 2002 and who has since had more than 16 years’ experience as a childcare lawyer in a Local Authority, latterly as the Deputy Principal of that Department.
Janet joins partners Ruth Hawkins and Emily Boardman as members of the Law Society’s Children Panel, which means that they are recognised for their skills and experience in acting for children and young people, as well as being experienced in acting for parents and other family members.
Janet also brings a depth of knowledge and experience in relation to Adoption Law, and strengthens the team’s expertise in this area.
Jayne Parker has also joined the team as our new office manager. We really did not feel that we would be large enough yet to warrant an office manager, but the firm’s growth, particularly in the midst of the pandemic, has enabled us to recruit Jayne much sooner than we expected!
The partners, Emily Boardman, Ruth Hawkins and Irena Osborne are particularly delighted to welcome Jayne to the firm, as we have all worked with her before.
Jayne will be taking charge or reopening the firm to the public over the coming weeks and organising the team and our office to ensure that we can do so in a Covid safe way, whilst retaining the welcoming and friendly nature that our offices had prior to the pandemic.
Finally part time law students Emily Parke and Beth Hancock join the firm as part time paralegals to support the team, and ensure that our clients continue to experience a high level of client care. They are both continuing their studies alongside developing legal experience.
About Boardman, Hawkins and Osborne LLP
Boardman, Hawkins & Osborne LLP is a specialist family practice established in September 2018. The three founding partners are locally and nationally highly regarded family lawyers Emily Boardman, Ruth Hawkins and Irena Osborne.
The partners and consultants all have established reputations for particular specialisms and many of them appear in both Chambers & Partners and The Legal 500 Guides.
Our ethos is based on a strong commitment to support individuals in some of the most difficult circumstances of their lives: divorce and separation; disputes over children; involvement with social services and domestic abuse.
Each of our clients has their own needs and we tailor our legal advice and packages to each situation. Some clients want to do everything themselves, except appear in court; while some want a full service and representation throughout their process.
We offer competitive private rates, fixed fees where appropriate and legal aid for eligible cases and clients.
