GDPR – Past, Present & Future with Kellie Peters of Databasix
25th May 2020 marks the 2-year anniversary of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) coming into force across Europe. On many an occasion I have been asked if GDPR still applies (yes it does), or I have been told that the regulation prevents business growth (no it doesn’t).
At BIO2020, I will:
• Reflect on the Past: What can we learn from the data breaches (British Airways, Marriot) and fines that have been issued?
• Discuss the Present: How to we continue manage data protection compliance during a pandemic?
• Forward View of the Future: How can we continue to adopt new technology to support business growth (oh and let’s not forget Brexit…)?
Join me, I guarantee it will not be boring.
