Winter Fashion on Show at Blenheim Palace
Rose Lyburn, founder of the Casa Rose Fashion Experience, chose Blenheim Palace’s Orangery as the setting for launching her boutique’s Winter Fashion Collection.
The Fashion Show transformed the opulent restaurant into a runway attracting over 100 guests.
Oxfordshire based Casa Rose worked exclusively with international stylist Allegra Ghiloni, photographer Sam Bennett and a team of creatives as well as local suppliers including; EvriONE Hair & Makeup salon Woodstock, Maureen Gillespie Silk Scarves and Kirk&Kirk eyewear at Woodstock Opticians.
“Blenheim Palace is a beautiful location, a historic, unique and very special environment with stunning facilities offering high quality support from management and staff,” said Rose.
“The success of the event was beyond expectation. An all-round fabulous evening from start to finish including delicious food. The stunning Orangery was the most amazing place to launch our Fashion Collection,” she added.
Blenheim Palace has a rich history of fashion and style, from the outfits worn by the Duchesses of Marlborough to hosting haute couture fashion shows in the 1950’s and most recently in 2014.
“Blenheim Palace is no stranger to the catwalk. The 10th Duchess of Marlborough collaborated with the newly established House of Dior to organise the first ever fashion show to be held in a British stately home,” said Antonia Keaney, Researcher Blenheim Palace.
“Each of the guests paid five guineas for the privilege of being present and a total of just over £8,000 – the equivalent of around £200,000 today – was raised for the International Red Cross.
“The event was such a success that a second fundraising show for the same charity was organised by the Duchess in 1958. The guest of honour then, as in 1954, was Princess Margaret, an early patron of Dior,” she added.
Blenheim Palace has been playing host to fashion designers, celebrities, monarchs, the aristocracy and heads of state for more than three centuries.
Today the 2,000-acre UNESCO World Heritage Site offers the ultimate bespoke corporate hospitality facilities in an inspiring location. Set in the Oxfordshire countryside, within easy reach of London, the Palace is a unique venue perfectly suited for holding conferences, meetings, exhibitions, and for entertaining clients.
Blenheim Palace can also provide a blank canvas to host exciting events, creative product launches and private celebrations.
