Positive Steps with Vincent Seddon of TBAT
Supporting our clients remotely
Following the introduction of lockdown, TBAT adapted instantly and set the entire team up to work from home. The team have reacted positively to the new working practices as we implemented the use of video conferencing software, internal team chat functions as well as online document sharing and co-working.
This has resulted in a seamless experience for our clients, allowing all projects to be delivered on time, keeping us running ‘business as usual’.
New online booking system for appointments
We’re acutely aware that many SME’s have been working tirelessly to keep their businesses afloat, therefore are looking at different finance options such as R&D Tax and Grant Funding. We saw a peak in enquiries and a need for businesses to be able to talk to us, at a time that was suitable for them.
We have introduced a new online appointment booking system, whereby businesses can choose a date and time for us to call back about their enquiries; whilst also hosting regular 1-2-1 sessions in which businesses can reach out to us, to discuss their requirements.
Introduction of Webinars
In normal circumstances, our Spring 2020 calendar would have been full of events to present at, exhibit and attend and we’ve been missing them!
To allow us to connect with other businesses, we’ve attended online meet ups and events, and hosted our own informative webinars – independently and with our membership organisations – to continue to introduce Grant Funding and R&D Tax opportunities to new connections.
In March, we had our HQ office refurbishment plans set to begin at the end of the month. Unfortunately, our plans were postponed as lockdown rules were imposed. But that hasn’t stopped us – as soon as the interior’s company were allowed to begin working again, they began our refurb (appropriately socially distanced, of course). They’ve done a fantastic job of making the office a vibrant space to return to, as well as providing the additional COVID-19 safety precautions needed to safely re-open the office!
The ‘new normal’ means not all our employees can, or are comfortable returning to the office environment, so we’ve opened up our flexible working policy to allow everyone to continue working in a way which best fits their own needs.
As lockdown was announced, we decided to pause all of our recruitment activities due to the uncertainties presented to us all. We’ve been incredibly fortunate to have been able to continue with a full workforce and have seen a continuation of demand for our services through the pandemic.
Therefore, we restarted our recruitment drive in June 2020 and have welcomed 2 new team members, who are now working remotely, while we still seek additional members to join our team!
