IQ Capital make brand identity a key feature of their workplace as COEL fit out their office.
IQ Capital is a dynamic investment company based in Cambridge, who back UK deep-tech entrepreneurs from seed stage to exit. After expanding rapidly, they needed a larger office space. COEL’s mandate was to follow the conceptual designs Loci Interiors had produced and create a workplace with impact; somewhere to be proud of. It had to be functional and allow for collaboration as well as an area to host events.
Brand identity and company culture is established from the minute you arrive at IQ Capital’s offices with glazed panels framing the IQ Capital nameplate. This was honed into the wall with grey gloss finish specified to reflect the red back lit logo which sits proudly on the opposite wall. Signature colours of dark grey and red are consistent throughout the design.
A bespoke LED wall combining colour, texture and light was erected on the main wall creating a dramatic focal point. Local firm Wedd Joinery, excelled in crafting triangular oak veneer panels together to form a mountainous outline. As the triangular pieces were synced seamlessly together navigating wall corners, meticulous detail was placed on the grain of the wooden panels being arranged at altering angles giving birth to a further line of movement and energy. IQ Capital’s red brand colour flows through the design in sharp lines softened by lighter hues emanating from LED lighting set behind the panels. This clever lighting brings the different elements of the design together.
One of the tables doubles up for games of ping-pong and sleek wall-mounted wine racks were subtly positioned for work social events and entertaining clients.
IQ Capital’s headquarters have a strong sense of identity; it is a sophisticated workplace with a sense of originality.
