Gardner Leader up for winning Law Firm of the Year Award, again

Gardner Leader has reached the finals for two LawNet awards, two years after winning the prestigious UK legal network’s Law Firm of the Year Award.

Along with three other firms, the Thames Valley solicitors with offices in Newbury, Thatcham and Maidenhead, are in the running to win Law Firm of the Year for a second time with Nicola Weeks, Associate in the Gardner Leader Family Team, shortlisted to win Young Lawyer of the Year Award.

LawNet is a long-established, leading UK network dedicated to supporting independent law firms. With more than 70 members with a turnover of between £2m and £25m, it has been promoting excellence and providing business growth support to members for the last 25 years. The awards are part of LawNet’s flagship annual conference which is attended by more than 200 delegates, world-class speakers and senior partners and managers, to celebrate outstanding performance in the legal sector.

The Law Firm of the Year award is particularly focused on the entries’ strategic direction, commitment to client care and financial performance. Judges will consider Gardner Leader’s continuous customer service improvement programme, which began in 2014, and the firm’s evidence of how it has enhanced its service and staff engagement levels.

Derek Rodgers, Managing Partner at Gardner Leader, said “The whole team is delighted and honoured by the fact the firm has made it into the finals of the Law firm of the Year Award and that Nicola has achieved this well-deserved recognition. The calibre of the other entries is so high, so being shortlisted to win is a strong indication that our firm’s values, which are to embrace change and to deliver peace of mind, trust and value, are continuing to shine through in the work that we do daily.”

Those entering the Young Lawyer of the Year Award must show exceptional skill in their chosen area of specialism with high levels of client care, innovation and contribution to the team.

Derek continues, “Nicola is a proactive and inspirational member of our team who takes an active role in our continuous service improvement programme. She’s a true reflection of the culture of our firm which is to make every part of our business better every day.

“We wish all the finalists the best of luck and look forward to the awards ceremony.”

Winners of the LawNet Awards 2018 will be announced on 23rd November during a conference dinner at Jurys Inn, Hinckley Island, in Leicestershire.
