Gardner Leader get on their bikes and get baking for charity ‘Bike Off Bake Off’

Staff at award-winning law firm, Gardner Leader are busy limbering up ready for their ‘Bike Off Bake Off’ challenge later this month and are inviting the public to join them on a fundraising push for Berkshire charity, Swings & Smiles.

The first ‘Bike Off’ event will take place on Friday 14 June involving staff from their Newbury, Thatcham and Maidenhead offices from 10am to 4pm at Gardner Leader’s White Hart House, Market Place office in Newbury. Sixteen staff aim to ride the equivalent of Newbury to London to reach a total of 60 miles on stationary exercise bikes in 30-minute relays. The firm are encouraging people to come along to watch, cheer and donate.

On Monday 17 June employees will get cooking for a special office ‘Bake Off’. The delicious baked goods will be on sale from 11:30am inside Gardner Leader’s offices to raise further funds for Swings & Smiles, which provides support, friendship and a place to play for children with special needs and their families.

The ‘Bike Off Bake Off’ challenge marks the firm’s final push for Swings & Smiles to celebrate its year-long support as Gardner Leader’s charity of the year.  Comments Derek Rodgers, Managing Partner:“The team are really looking forward to getting on their bikes and cooking up a storm for our office ‘Bike Off Bake Off’ and having some fun alongside members of the public too, so do come and join us – after our cycling, some tasty baked treats will be well-earned!”
