CIS Ltd Awarded Employer of the Year at the 2018 V4B Awards

CIS Ltd took home two key awards at the annual V4B Awards this month. The firm won Employer of the Year and its CEO Richard Marsh was also appointed joint Business Leader of the Year – underlining the firm’s commitment to ensuring both its staff and customers are given equal amounts of support, training and inspiration in a highly skilled environment. It was also a finalist in the Large Business of the Year award.

Vale of White Horse is one of the most attractive areas in the country offering not only a range of business premises, excellent communication, transport links and skilled staff but also an environment that is home to a buoyant economy. From advanced engineering companies to independent retailers, the district houses a vibrant mix of businesses operating in and around its market towns. The V4B Awards aim to bring together the achievements of businesses in the area, recognising, rewarding and promoting local success stories.

Said CIS Ltd’s CEO, Richard Marsh, “We are delighted to win Employer of the Year. It’s great to achieve recognition for our ongoing efforts to engage with our employees in order to provide the best possible working environment for them. Demonstrating a strong commitment to our internal team is vital when it comes to providing our customers with first class service and support. We ensure our staff are constantly up to date with the latest industry developments and feel able to contribute and feed back ideas is very important to the management team at CIS.”

Added Simon Bassett, lead partner from Oxfordshire based law firm and V4B Awards lead sponsor, Royds Withy King, ”We were delighted to present CIS Limited with the award for Employer of the Year. We were very impressed with Richard and his approach to his team – it was clear from our visit that the employees are at the heart of the company and the tools and strategies that have been put in place to encourage collaboration and reward support that. It therefore came as no surprise that Richard was also jointly awarded as Business Leader of the Year. Congratulations to all at CIS Ltd.”

Continued Richard Marsh, “It was also a boost to win Business Leader of the Year as I strongly believe that in order for your team to put in the maximum effort, they need to see you doing the same. You can’t expect people to do things that you wouldn’t and I am delighted to receive this award in recognition of my commitment to driving the business on and ensuring its ongoing success in challenging times for the industry.”
