BIO2020 LIVE to take place 2nd to 4th June

Whilst the world adapts to huge shifts in all aspects of our lives, the B4 team have been working hard to ensure that BIO2020 LIVE will take place from 2nd to 4th June.

We want to deliver you an event which you can ‘attend’ for three days without leaving your desk, where you can dip in and out of talks which you see relevant to you and your business and catch up using our video bank of talks when you can’t join us live.

With over 70 speakers already booked in from Oxfordshire and beyond and building on the success of the daily B4 LIVE series which has been running since mid-March, BIO2020 will deliver a wide range of inspiring, engaging and informative content. We will feature speakers delivering relevant advice about the world post COVID-19, the original #changethewayyouthink theme will still run strongly throughout BIO2020 and speakers will give us their take on how they and their companies are adapting to life now and for the future.

One of our long-standing partners, multinational logistics, supply chain, manufacturing and consultancy company, Unipart, have kindly agreed to sponsor BIO2020 and Frank Nigriello, Director of Corporate Affairs commented, “Covid-19 locked down Britain to protect us and to protect the NHS. But businesses of every size need to continue to innovate and grow.  Business in Oxford 2020 provides a key to unlocking opportunities for Oxfordshire businesses by providing the forum to discuss ideas and share best practice. B4 LIVE has done a great job delivering content to the B4 network, and beyond. We’re delighted to continue our support for B4 as a main sponsor of BIO2020 for a seventh year. We are looking forward to a packed three days of live content delivered from around the world. It promises to be an excellent event and I encourage you to connect through this innovative online opportunity.”

Oxford City Council Economic Development Manager, Matt Peachey, added, “It’s great to see B4 pushing ahead with BIO2020. We all need as much positivity as possible at this strange time in our lives and with an event such as BIO2020 to look forward to, it provides Oxfordshire’s business community with something normal at a time when everything is far from normal. I’m really looking forward to what promises to be an action packed three days.”

Jonna Mundy, Director of YouHR and long standing B4 member, commented, “I know how much hard work everyone puts into BIO2020, not just the incredible B4 team, but speakers, exhibitors and sponsors so it’s great that this won’t go to waste. It’s been a tough and challenging time for many businesses so to have BIO2020 in the diary is a real highlight and myself and the rest of the YouHR team can’t wait.”

BIO2020 was always planned to be an opportunity for other local networking groups to come together and the following are all standing strong with their support as Official Support Partners of BIO2020 LIVE:

Business Buzz; Greentech; Howbery Park; NX for the next generation; OTMN; OpenDoorz; Oxford Business Community Network; Oxford Business Park; Oxford Technology Park; Perch; South Oxfordshire Business Network; TechTribe; The Oxford Science and Technology Network; The Perch Eco Centre, Independent Oxford and ScreenTalk.

Mike Foster who runs three networking groups locally commented, “BIO is the biggest gathering of businesses in Oxfordshire and the Oxford Business Community Network, the South Oxfordshire Business Network and the Oxford Science and Technology Network are pleased to support BIO2020 LIVE.’

Oxfordshire Community Foundation CEO, Jayne Woodley, added, ‘In these extraordinary times, we are beginning to see how things we might not have thought possible are now already happening. So there’s a huge opportunity for BIO2020 to herald the beginning of a whole new way of working where we all share a commitment to act proactively together to ensure Oxfordshire recovers stronger.’

Andy Bedwell of Perch Co-working in Bicester added, “As a company that actively promotes collaboration between businesses, Perch Pioneer Square are delighted to endorse BIO2020 LIVE as a great way to bring the Oxfordshire business community together. We look forward to ‘meeting’ you there!”
