Leading teams through change, facing resistance

Aim of the session: To explore the human response to change and discover some key tips and tools to enable us to cope with change in a practical and realistic way in order to move with energy to the new normal.

Delegates will have a deeper understanding of the human response to change and explore questions that are helpful for teams to explore at each of the stages of this response. At the same time having practical tips and tools to implement in their team to enable a practical approach to the changes experienced by the team, how they can ‘make good endings’ and say farewell to stuff they may be sad about losing. This can enable a team to pull together and embrace the ‘new normal’ while dealing with resistance too.

By the end of the workshop delegates will be able to:

Define the human response to change
Explore key questions for a team to ask to address the needs of the team
Understand the role of resistance to change
Have a taster of some practical tips and tools to implement in making good endings and letting go during change
