B4 LIVE: Energy Superhub Oxford
On the 1 July we will be hosting a webinar on Energy Superhub Oxford, a world-first project pioneering an integrated approach to decarbonising power, transport and heat to accelerate Oxford’s journey to zero carbon.
The 3-year project will showcase a powerful network of rapid electric vehicle (EV) charging, hybrid battery energy storage, low carbon heating, and smart energy management, providing a model for cities around the world to cut carbon emissions and improve air quality.
In the words of ex-Energy & Clean Growth Minister, Claire Perry O’Neill, Energy Superhub Oxford has “the potential to completely change the way people go about their daily lives – from going to work on an electric bus to using the heat rising from the earth to heat your home without gas.”
Join us to hear directly from some of the project partners on the latest developments and what impact they hope the project will have, both here in Oxford, and further afield.
Speakers will include:
Tom Hayes, Deputy Leader and Cabinet Member for Green Transport and Zero Carbon Oxford at Oxford City Council
Tim Rose, ESO Programme Manager, Pivot Power
Dr Matt Trewhella, Managing Director, Kensa Contracting
