School friends Aadam Akram and Joe Spicer launched Social Out-Cast, an online retail business, while studying A-Levels at Henry Box School in the town.
Just 12-months since launching, the young businessmen are celebrating a six-figure profit.
Since completing their studies, the duo have set up base at the Witney Business & Innovation Centre, becoming the newest firm to join the hotbed of pioneering businesses at the Windrush Park Road centre.
18-year-old, Joe, praised the support he and his colleague had received since making the move from home at the beginning of the month.
He said: “We were looking for a base, somewhere we could separate work from home. I knew the Witney Business & Innovation Centre was a fantastic place to network and we have already met people we can work with in the future.
“We’re confident it’s the perfect facility to spring-board Social Out-Cast into the future. The building is well-maintained and we love the interior décor and professional design. It’s great to know that as we grow we can remain at the centre, this stability is just what we want, as a start-up business, for our long-term career prospects.”
Social Out-Cast is an online business, known as drop shipping, promoting goods and taking orders on behalf of manufacturers while not holding stock.
Joe added: “We look at what’s trending, what’s gone viral and the season’s trends then promote whatever the item may be on social media platforms before linking back to our website, where customers can place their orders. We are, in effect, the middle man – we promote the goods and take the orders before passing them on for the manufacturer to ship out.
“Many young people and students are doing this to little success. We put our achievements down to our determination and drive to succeed. We deal with our set backs, evaluate and move-on and we’re confident our move to the centre will help us on our journey of growth.”
Witney Business & Innovation Centre, which is owned by Blenheim Palace, boasts office space for one to 30 people.
Alli Anderson, Centre Manager, said: “The enthusiasm of Aadam and Joe is infectious and we are delighted that they have decided to make the move to develop their business with us.
“All of us at the centre are dedicated to supporting the growth plans of all of our customers, and are on hand to answer questions and help steer the way, if required.”
