Whitley Stimpson climbs the rankings within the Top 100 UK accounting firms
Whitley Stimpson has been officially ranked as one of the country’s top accountancy firms by the prestigious Accountancy Age 50+50 survey.
The 2019 Accountancy Age Top 50+50 rankings features the Top 100 Accountancy firms in the UK and is recognised as the UK’s most comprehensive breakdown of accountancy sector performance.
To achieve the national honour, Whitley Stimpson’s revenue and growth were measured against accounting firms throughout the country. Despite the multitude of challenges faced with the uncertain climate, Whitley Stimpson’s fee income grew by 5% on the previous year to join the Top 100 in 86th place in the 2019 list – four places higher than the 2018 list.
Speaking of being named as Top 100 Accountancy firm, Jonathan Walton, managing director at Whitley Stimpson said: “This ranking acknowledges our work for a wide variety of private and business clients and it’s thanks to our clients and colleagues that we continue to be a leading independent accounting firm.
“Such achievements come down to a team effort with staff contributing directly to the firm’s direction as they themselves develop and progress. We continue to maintain our position by providing excellent client service and retaining the very best talent in the industry.”
The latest 50+50 accountancy firms ranking shows growth across the sector has accelerated in 2019 as top firms smash the £16bn barrier, just a year after breaking the £15bn barrier.
This year’s ranking demonstrates that accountancy firms are thriving in the face of uncertainty, with the majority of practices navigating compliance, technological and Brexit challenges to make gains on 2018.
Whitley Stimpson, which has offices in Banbury, Bicester, High Wycombe and Witney has received many accolades this year. Standout success includes being voted in the top 10 of the British Accountancy Awards for Best Employer and making the top five in the Accounting Excellence Investors in People award.
