Help to buy hands lifeline to first-time buyers in Maidenhead

In 2020, first-time buyers made up almost half of all home purchases in the UK, whilst the average first-time property deposit rose by more than £10,000[1]. Extending a helping hand to first-time buyers looking to make their move onto the property ladder in 2021, at Inland Homes’ Venue in Maidenhead, Berkshire, the renewed Help to Buy scheme – now exclusively for first-time buyers – is available on every property.

With one and two bedroom apartments priced from just £290,000 and a superb new show home available to view from 13th March, first-time house-hunters can purchase a stunning new home with just 5% of a property’s full market value, helping lower the deposit required to step onto the ladder.

Under the revised Help to Buy scheme, the Government lends first-time buyers up to 20% of the cost of a newly built home up to the value of £437,600 in the South East. This translates to prospective property purchasers requiring only a 5% deposit, with a 55% mortgage to make up the rest. Purchasers will not be charged loan fees on the 20% for the first five years of owning their home in the UK. Across the 13th and 14th March, visitors of the new show home can make a one-to-one appointment with a sales advisor to discuss their buying options, including their Help to Buy eligibility.

Vicki Noon, Sales and Marketing Director at Inland Homes, comments: “Buying a property can be a very stressful time, especially for those that have never gone through the process before. The Help to Buy scheme can bring a much-needed boost to buyers struggling to save for a full deposit, with only 5% of the full purchase price needed to secure a home.
