Cancer in the Workplace at Maggie’s Oxford

There are over 500,000 people with cancer working across the UK. This figure is expected to double by 2030 as more people survive a diagnosis of cancer.

In seeking to return to work, employees, their managers and colleagues each face different and complex challenges that can have significant impact in the workplace.

Maggie’s Oxford offers an information session for line-managers and members of HR teams covering the experiences and needs of people with cancer in the workplace.

The aims of the session are to discuss some of physical, practical and emotional aspects of living and working with a cancer diagnosis and to think about how to provide a supportive working environment. We also touch on the range of information and support available at Maggie’s.

The next session at Maggie’s is on Wednesday 16th January from 8.30am to 10am, run by a member of our professional team. To book a free place for you or someone in your team, please email Pip Dingle. We can also offer bespoke sessions at your workplace for larger groups, again please contact Pip for more details.

Collaborent helps companies be a force for good in ways that develop their business and people whilst addressing local social and environmental challenges.
