Sarah Burrows

Sarah is a qualified social worker who has worked with children and families for over thirty years within a variety of settings including Children’s Homes, Family Centres, Looked-After Social Care Team and Youth Offending Services before founding a charity, Children Heard and Seen, in Spring 2014 .This was a result of her concern that a significant amount of children with a parent on prison were entering the criminal justice system and there was a lack of provision to prevent the intergenerational cycle of offending.

Sarah was awarded the Prime Ministers Point of Light Award in 2017, for this work. Sarah was also listed on the Independent's "Happy List" 2017 as one of 50 people who make Britain a happier place to live and has received The Butler Trust Commendation
