Zetica and Nitron Racing have purchased properties at a site in Eynsham as they strengthen their foothold in the county.
The former Information Press and Blenheim Colour site in Southfield Road has been split to create separate plots for the specialist firms.
Zetica has taken 20,000 sq ft in a major expansion for the company having previously operated in a 4,500 sq ft unit in nearby Long Hanborough.
The company is the UK’s leader in engineering and environmental geophysics specialising in scanning development sites and transport infrastructure to detect underground hazards and to monitor condition. Targets of their investigation include geological features such as groundwater, depth to bedrock and sinkholes as well as man-made features such as buried services, pavement structure, railways and unexploded ordnance. Zetica has a standout track record for innovation including the development of multi-sensor platforms and novel data processing algorithms for mapping material change.
Meanwhile, Nitron Racing is stepping up a gear with its new home double the size of its previous premises in Witney at 8,000 sq ft. Nitron develops suspension systems used in performance cars and motorcycles for use on both road and track. The equipment is designed on site and made to order for customers including Lotus and racing teams around the world.
Tom Barton, director of commercial property agents VSL which handled the sale of the units, said: “Freehold premises are at a premium in West Oxfordshire, so it is fantastic that we have been able to locate suitable accommodation and keep them in the area.
“Eynsham is expanding thanks to its good links to Oxford and beyond and we look forward to welcoming similar businesses in the near future.”
