High-tech firm top of the class after move to Old School

A former Victorian school has been brought into the 21st century after being transformed into a new home for a technology business.

The Old School in Wolvercote, near Oxford, has been converted into two offices covering 3,390 sq ft of accommodation over two floors including laboratory and storage facilities.

Letting agents VSL & Partners has now secured digital software development firm Univers Labs as a tenant, with the business relocating from the TBAC Centre serviced office accommodation at Osney Mead, Oxford.

Univers has taken a five-year lease at £55,000 a year. The business designs and builds web applications, mobile apps and interactive infographics.

Nat Eguchi, technical director and co-founder at Univers Labs explained: “We thought that finding a facility with space and character in a market as competitive as it is in Oxford would be impossible. Thanks to VSL’s vast portfolio of properties and expert, friendly advice, we managed to find the perfect office for our business to grow.”
