Our special guests for our November Platinum CEOs & Leaders lunch are Michael Crook, newly appointed CEO of SMS Environmental Ltd and Alison Leverett-Morris of ALM Coaching & Consultancy.

SMS Environmental has been an industry leader in Water Treatment and Water Hygiene for over 20 years, with locations across the UK and a Head Office in Oxfordshire. With a staff of over 200 they have seen consistent growth, in particular the last 4 years.

Michael and Alison will be discussing the journey that SMS have been on since the partnership between the two organisations started. It involves leadership development and culture shifts within SMS, unlocking potential in the talent within the organisation through Neuroscience and Psychology and the ability to gain real traction through implementing an operating system that drives everything they do. This has helped form the basis of a new Senior Leadership Team and new chapter for SMS which will propel the growth and ability to continue to offer the best service possible to their clients through quality and a customer service focus.

Their story is one of transformation and change. The discussion will be honest and focus on the early successes as well as some of the lessons learned.

Michael Crook joined SMS Environmental in 2011 as a Consultant.

Mike’s proven track record of success led to him being promoted to Senior Account Manager, before joining the Board of Directors in 2016. In 2023, Mike was appointed Chief Executive Officer.

Under his leadership, SMS has witnessed a remarkable transformation across all facets of the organisation. Driven by finding and retaining ‘the one percents’, Mike has played a pivotal role in shaping strategic direction, streamlining operations, and fostering a culture of innovation.

Alison Leverett-Morris is a Leadership Coach & Consultant.

Alison is a former CEO (of an Arts & Mental Health Charity), with a master’s degree in leadership and experience in business consultancy. After maternity leave, she re-trained to become a UKCP Registered Hypno-Psychotherapist. She worked in clinical practice for a decade and received The JP Noble Award for her specialist work in trauma and mind-body medicine.

Alison began coaching leaders in 2019 – taking further training to become a Certified Neuroscience Coach. She has developed a unique coaching process and signature leadership framework. Today, she works exclusively with ambitious leaders and businesses, supporting them to solve their most difficult problems and achieve their most ambitious goals.
