The Plough is an Historic Gastro Pub which first opened on this site in 1656. Our historic city centre gastro pub serves great food, traditional real ales and craft beer. We have a huge selection of gins, vodkas and whisky and a comprehensive wine list.

Our all day menu is available both in our ground floor pub and upstairs restaurant.

Al Fresco Dining

There’s nothing better than enjoying fantastic food and drink with the sun glowing down on you. We have two outside dining areas, Cornmarket and St. Michael Street.

Both are overlooked by the tower of St Michael’s, one of the oldest buildings in Oxford, dating back to the Saxon times and nearly 1,000 years old.
