Not one mile from Oxford City Centre, Jericho has established itself as the centre of independent businesses in Oxford. With a heartbeat and spirit unlike any other area in Oxford, to experience Jericho is to experience Oxford life, with an absorbing mix of professionals, artisans and students which works perfectly. B4 met up with some of the local businesses, and even some of those on the fringes of Jericho, to find out what is so special about one of Oxford’s most enchanting districts, and to help launch the new identity of Jericho which will be used to promote the area in In Oxford Magazine, on www.inoxford.com and in a new map being published in March 2010.

Launched twenty four years ago by Sue Rosser, just prior to the heady eighties, Lacys has become a fixture of Little Clarendon Street in Oxford, standing the test of time and making sure the well heeled and fashion conscious ladies of Oxford always have a ready supply of the latest fashion on their doorstep. Katie Avis-Riordan meets Sue Rosser to find out the secret of her success.
